This list of providers was born out of necessity as the buzzwordification of "neurodiversity-affirming" began to make it difficult for clients to differentiate providers with necessary skillsets, areas of knowledge, and lived experience from each other. This directory, curated over the span of years, is word-of-mouth only.

As a result, it is smaller than many others, which can be frustrating for those desperately seeking care. What does this mean? Providers cannot nominate themselves. Rather than opening up applications where anyone can claim to practice , keeping it referral-based means it's actually neurodivergent people and clinicians who work with those people and have heard through the grapevine that their clients felt affirmed doing the vetting. This is based on the principle that a provider doesn't get to tell you the space they create is safe; you tell them.

With that in mind, please reach out to me if:

  • You are a provider whose information is listed incorrectly or you would like to be removed or update your listing (e.g. a new website, newly licensed in an additional state).

  • You are a provider whose neurodivergent client reported an affirming experience with another clinician whose name you'd like to submit.

  • You are a client who had an experience with a provider that was not in fact affirming of your neurodivergent identity. They will be removed without your experience being questioned.

  • You are welcome to share any information about the experience, but it will not be shared.

  • You are a client who would like to nominate your clinician. Please include any relevant information about what made your experience great!

Thank you for helping us build a community-based database.
